Introduction
Hallo my flowers,
I'm Caitlin Riegel and it is a pleasure to meet you. I am a spinner of tales and maker of book boyfriends and damsels not-in-distress. Romance and history are the lifeblood of my work, blending courageously independent women and seductive scoundrels with loads of fun in their breeches.
Some of my more niche topics of interest are Victorian Floriography (or the Language of Flowers), 19th century British history, and all things mythology, mainly of the Greek and Egyptian variety. (I will also die on the hill of the Oxford Comma.)
I am always in search of more wonderous friends whom share my affinity for literature and romance. And as an author, I would love to regale you with tales of my own.
So, whisk away with me into the elegant ton and waltz among gentleman with nefarious desires, and women with fierce tongues and even fiercer wit.
My debut novel, "My Lord's Captive", just released and it would be my honor if you read it. Tata for now!
Yours eternally,
Caitlin Riegel

Victorian prose and homage to my work as an author, I weave my personal experiences, anecdotes, historical research, and clues into WIP's into a bit sized blog. In these posts you may discover small joys like the meaning of certain flowers, Victorian customs, and the oddity of writing like an English aristocrat on a 21st century computer. Let's blend history and modernity is a most jovial fashion.
