Three Days in Seattle by Debra Burroughs

Three Days in Seattle Three Days in Seattle by Debra Burroughs
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book was a light read, a frolic. The romance is sweet and cute, and the suspense was not too graphic. It certainly doesn't cause any emotional angst or disturb anyone with nightmares or leave a horrible aftertaste.

The main character's sister is missing and she goes to Seattle to search for her. While on the airplane she meets a sweet, charming real estate agent. They quickly become fast friends and he helps her deal with the police investigation.

This is a great beach or vacation read. The plot is predictable, the ending is sweet. There are no major disturbing issues that would keep you awake at night and everything is resolved nicely and neatly at the end. Cheesy dialogue aside, this story is entertaining in a mild way, like light salad dressing, lite beer, or Splenda.

Throughout the book, I kept thinking the male character was too good to be true. He didn't seem to have any flaw. He drops everything to accompany the main character, and at the end he is declared the hero over and over again. I kept waiting for some chilling twist, like maybe he's the villain or had some deep, dark secret, but I guess this is not that kind of book.
