“Wisconsin Unhuggables” blog

I’ve just begun blogging for Wisconsin Trails magazine, with the topic being the Dairy State’s less-loved and least-cuddly critters. As I say in the first entry (“Greetings”) this will be an appreciation of these animals, not a strict study of natural history, although I intend to include that wherever necessary. I’m looking to get across what writer and naturalist Robert Michael Pyle (“Chasing Monarchs,” “Mariposa Road”) calls “solid, meaningful encounter,” rather than a strict field-guide-style listing of facts and figures.  Check it out now and then.
