Now is the Only Forever I Want: Impossible Things

When I was young and naïve,

I believed in impossible things-

Trusting every time someone told me,

They would love me forever,

And stay with me until the end of time.

Now knowing what I know,

I understand how foolish it was;

Because forever is nothing but a myth,

So, you see, no one can keep that promise,

Even if they meant every word of it.

Now that I’m older and wiser,

I know that the end of time isn’t foreseeable,

And I only believe in what’s possible-
