‘It’s Been Awhile’

Good Morning,

Fellow Readers and Authors,

I hope you are all well, wherever you are in the world, and enjoying your week so far.

The weather here in the UK has been the usual mix for this time of year, as storms and rain bless the landscape. But next summer advances closer with every day I guess.

Anyway, it has indeed been some time since my last post, and despite my best intentions to follow up with some news, life has managed to get in the way. Have you ever noticed how life, the universe or whatever, manages to throw you a curve ball every now and then? Sometimes, more than one at a time.

It all went ‘curveball’ after we arrived back in Sussex. The work I had mentioned previously that I was so keen to undertake on Vera2, was put on hold. The reason was of all things, a job offer.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing we have all experienced, however as I mop up th residue of this flawed decision on my part, I am left wondering. Why? The offer came out of the blue, a contract in Paris for a couple of months. On face value it seemed like a good idea, until the reality set in.

My love for Paris emanates from my teens, when I left the UK and lived in France for several years. It seemed on face value the right thing to do at the time. However, unable as usual, and definitely still incapable of taking prisoners or suffering fools, my tenue was short lived.

Back in the UK, I managed to pick up from where I hade left off, and my trusty camper finally received the attention she so deserved. With a complete new front end, including headlights, daytime running lights, and some much needed wind deflectors for the windows in the cab, we are ready once again for the road.

Remember I spoke of life, the universe and curve balls? Well life has presented itself with another more exciting opportunity. Next week, believe it or not, we are going to view an ancient woodland, which is up for sale.

There are several acres up for grabs in a desirable location, which, subject to permissions, would make the perfect site for an idea percolating on the backburner. In fact, having enjoyed venues like this on my travels, to own and run such a place of my own, would be a dream come true.

Waking up to a view of red dear in the morning foraging outside, and the hoot of owls at night, would be Shangri-La indeed.

And so we will explore this potential, and as news becomes available, I promise to keep you informed, hopefully without the intervention of anymore curve balls.

Reverting now to the subject of books for a moment, I am humbled by the volume of Goodreads readers adding one of my books to their shelves. Again this month, The Dumb Dumb’s Handbook to Twin Flame Relationships has increased dramatically.

I have placed a selection of links below that have been posted on Facebook, and various other media platforms. I hope you enjoy them.

Stay safe, and keep reading and writing, and most of all, follow your dreams whatever they may be. 😊

Best Wishes
