Book Review: The Left-Handed Twin by Thomas Perry

Published in 2021. Thriller. Most would know Jane Whitefield as Dr. McKinnon’s wife, but those who need her know her as the person who can make you disappear. She can create a completely new identity for you, and no one will ever find you again. Sara needs her help because her boyfriend wants to kill her. She was the only witness to a murder he committed and testified against him in court. But for some reason, he was found not guilty and freed. Now he wants revenge. Sara found Jane, who she agrees to help her. But the boyfriend doesn’t give up easily and uses his contact with the Russian mafia for help. Once the mafia finds out about Jane, however, they could care less about Sara. It’s Jane they want.

The concept was interesting, and the author included concept of an Evil Spirit from the Iroquois. The evil spirit is actually two brothers, one on the right and the other on the left. Thus, the title. The left-handed twin could be the Russian mafia, but Jane is the only one who can outsmart the other twin. What she does isn’t legal, but is it evil?
