my life in words
When I sat down to make a video to promote a special price on my paperback book for the month of June, on my website, I had no idea that it would turn out like it has. It wasn't my intention to make a funny video at all, but my daughter had her own idea of how it should be, after she saw the
SEVERAL
attempts I made on the video camera because I kept making mistakes. It just goes to show you that mistakes can become a powerful tool....
IF YOU LEARN FROM THEM.
When she showed me the finished product, she said, "There, that is the
"REAL"
you. That's what everyone needs to see." After watching it a few times, I couldn't agree more.
Someone told me my "JOY and LAUGHTER" were infectious in that quirky little video we made. Talk about confirmation. That alone shows me the "REAL ME" came through, and that the battle I write and sing about did NOT destroy me. I want others who are in the middle of devastation like I was, to be able to see, through my life, that the "light" WILL come to take the "darkness" away. That is why I shared my story. That is the message I want to make known. I ended every chapter in my book with Philippians 4:13, because my story is one of WINNING a battle that was meant to destroy me. I desperately want those who are hurting to know someone cares. I've been there, I'm a better person for coming through it, and I CARE!
Does the "JOY and LAUGHTER" you see and hear in my life, and on that video, mean my broken heart is still not broken? NO, NOT AT ALL. Those are just the things that help navigate me toward my "New Life among the Cracks." ~tf
