Beginning My Journey

I am often asked what made me start writing novels at my age. (81) I am a former TV Producer, Director and Writer. I have written episodes for television and created and sold a series to Disney. Through the years I have created several TV concepts. After you create the concept and get it down on paper (and protect it) you take "pitch" meetings to attempt to sell your idea to a buyer (network). For anyone who has gone throw this process, you know it can be very frustrating and in the end you get far more rejections than yeses.

My Hawaii Series was born from one of those rejections.

A couple of years ago I was rereading some of my old idea files and I came across the genius for the Hawaii series. I just thought it would make a great novel, so I started writing and "An Act of vengeance" was born. I enjoyed the experience so much that I continued the series.

One of the fascinating things about writing is falling in love with the characters you create. I am currently writing the last novel in this series and I am already dreading the time when I will have to say goodbye to these characters.
