I’m excited to announce a very special project I’ve been working on alongside Nick Burgoyne and 17 amazing writers and artists! Metamorphosis - An Anthology brought to you by Indie Fantasy Corner will be available on Kindle and paperback via all Amazon marketplaces from October 15th! You can pre-order the Kindle version now.

All profits made from the sale of the anthology will be donated to Write the World, an international charity supporting young people with their writing pursuits.

A monster lurking in a cave awaits a hero. The past is revisited. A dark underworld is explored to escape oppression. A child is waiting to be born. A person finds that things around them are not quite what they first seem. The world rebirths anew.

Metamorphosis means lots of things to many people, and what you hold in your hands is a collaborative dream, woven together by writers and artists with a shared love of storytelling. Through these stories, we hope you find your own sense of metamorphosis.

We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who submitted their work to our little anthology. You made our collaborative dream come true and we’ve loved reading each of your pieces.

We can’t wait to share all the incredible work by…

Rooted - A Feminist Myth Retelling

With this anthology, I am officially stepping out of the poetry closet with my poetic feminist retelling of the Daphne and Apollo myth. I was inspired to follow in the footsteps of some of my favourite authors - Madeline Miller, Natalie Haynes, and Margaret Atwood - and I have loved weaving together this tale of metamorphosis with the naiad Daphne at the centre of the story. The idea first came to me about a decade ago, and it is finally fluttering free of its chrysalis.

Perhaps Apollo did catch Daphne,
and instead of a tree, she wanted to be a river,
but she was kept rooted in one place.

I can’t wait to share my epic poem and all the other amazing stories in just a couple of weeks.
