Let it Go and MOVE – From Lost to Found

A few weeks ago I discovered I’d lost a very significant and valuable piece of jewelry. An earring, from a pair with gold lined cowry shell designs, which I’d purchased on my first trip to Africa in 1996. I’ve worn the pair to the hilt! Dismay covered me when I went to take them off and realized one was missing. Backtracking my day, I thought maybe it was at a community center where I’d coordinated a program for my church that day. Or maybe it was in the car, or caught up in my jacket, so I searched those places. I’d also been to the movies that evening, so even still it could be in the theatre. In any event, I thought it’d be tough to locate at this point. Panic and self name calling. Then the other side of my brain rationalized that if this precious earring was supposed to come back to me it will.

Fast forward one week to the next Saturday and I’ve got a number of things going on in my house. A cleaning team is in to do my home’s quarterly tidy up, I’m working on my writing and planning to attend an event later in the day. Because I thought the cleaning team would park in my driveway, I’d moved my car out of the garage so I wouldn’t have to interrupt their task to back their vehicle out if I needed to run an errand. Well they didn’t park in the driveway so I decided that since my car was out of the way, it’d be a good time to clean the garage. A nudging in my spirit said,” do it now.” I was tired of looking at the disarray of stacked boxes and leaves all over the floor that blow in from the yard when the garage door opens. Tackling the floor first, I grab the broom and start sweeping. Lo and behold, I see my gold cowry shell earring amidst the leaves.

Wow, a message bombarded my brain – Let it go and God will bring it back to you. Plus MOVE when you listen to his voice. Make Opportunity Visually Evident.
