Meanwhile, in the distorted tranquility of the Corpse Jungle, the emperor finds himself perched on a hill overlooking the land. From afar, he observes smoke travelling skyward from the wilderness below. With piqued interest, he ventures to investigate.
Unbeknownst to him, the smoke is coming from the Compound of Light. The village has several fire pits used to prepare meals and keep warm during cold nights.
