Kind Lifer Calla recently alerted me to Israel's stray animal problem see video here and gave me some information about how we can help:

The Jerusalem Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals JSPCA is working to reduce the number of stray animals in Israel. They provide adoption services medical attention food and shelter to as many as 350 cats and dogs at a time. Israel has a large neglected and malnourished animal population with cats in particular suffering the most. To combat this problem the JSPCA has teamed up with Spay Israel to help prevent cat overpopulation in the region.
