What I'm Reading!

Dear Martin by Nic Stone: Justyce McAllister, after dealing with an incident of police brutality, grapples with the ideals of Martin Luther King Jr. as he navigates race issues in his school and personal life.

I originally picked this one up for the sake of collecting banned and challenged books, and it's been very engaging so far. The writing style and themes give me nostalgia for my high school years, back when I read more YA.

The Fellowship of the Ring by J.R.R. Tolkien: After learning of an oncoming evil from a far off land, Frodo Baggins decides to take the corrupt One Ring to Mordor, where it can be destroyed, thus ridding the world of evil.

I don't really know for sure when I'll be getting to this one, but I want to further my dive into Middle-Earth in the near future!

What I'm Playing!

Undertale: Long ago, two races ruled over the earth, HUMANS and MONSTERS. After a fierce war broke out between them, the humans emerged victorious and drove the monsters underground, where they lived for centuries afterward. One day, a human fell into the underground, and their choices of whether to fight or make peace with the monsters will determine the future.

One of the many gems I was able to get on sale! I'm hoping to re-beat this one for the best ending and complete some other games before I buy any more games.

(Which isn't easy, with just how many sales keep popping up...)

Mega Man Battle Network 5: Team Colonel: After an evil organization, Nebula, takes over the cyber world, Lan and Megaman join Team Colonel, a group founded to stop them before they spread dark power throughout the physical and digital world.

BN5 isn't the best the series has to offer, but it's got unique qualities that make it worth coming back to, and succeeds in many areas that its predecessor struggled or failed in.
