How to Summon Orias for Status & Divination
Orias, the fifty-ninth spirit of the Ars Goetia, is a Marquis commanding thirty legions. He is a master of astrology and transformation, known for granting dignities, honors, and esteem.
He also teaches the virtues of the stars and can change a person’s appearance, both outwardly and in the eyes of others.
When Orias manifests as vision, it is often as a lion-headed figure riding a great horse, a serpent’s tail curling behind him or holding a serpent tightly in his grip.
Sometimes he appears less bestial, as a robed astrologer with a crown of stars, his eyes like polished bronze.
Why Work with Orias? The magician calls Orias for elevation of status, transformation of appearance, and alignment with celestial power.
He is particularly useful in situations where reputation matters: business, politics, leadership, or any place where you must appear more impressive, dignified, or worthy of trust.
He doesn’t simply polish your image superficially; he bends perception itself, making others see you differently than before.
Orias also rules physical transformation. He can refine features, shift body-language, and make charisma glow from the aura itself.
In some workings I have seen long-term physical changes occur when his current is maintained, as if the body is subtly reshaped under the stars.
Finally, Orias is a master of timing. His gift of astrology reveals when to act and when to hold back, when the stars align for success, and when enemies will falter. Working with him is like having the map to the hidden tides of fortune.
Planet, Metal, and ElementOrias is aligned with Jupiter, the planet of expansion, honor, and kingship.
His metal is tin, and his element is Fire, not in the destructive sense but in the radiant, dignifying sense.
It is the fire of a torch held high to illuminate one’s worth. His colors are royal blue, gold, and purple.
Astrological TimingCall Orias when Jupiter is strong, especially in Sagittarius (his domicile) or Cancer (his exaltation). Thursdays in the hour of Jupiter are ideal.
For appearance or charm, blend this with Libra or Leo influences. For honors and career recognition, align with Jupiter-Sun trines or sextiles.
Offerings and PresentationOrias accepts offerings of symmetry and refinement: a polished mirror, a star chart, a glass of spiced wine, or a talisman of tin or pewter engraved with his sigil.
Blue and purple candles with frankincense and myrrh incense please him. He respects ceremony carried out with order and grace.
Attuning to OriasTo lightly attune, set a blue and a purple candle on either side of his sigil. Burn myrrh, then place a small mirror upon the sigil.

Chant his enn “Lirach mena Orias anay na” while gazing into the mirror. Imagine your reflection subtly shifting into a more dignified, radiant version of yourself.
The sense of presence and authority that lingers after is his signature. As with all attunements, this is meant to be a regular practice to strengthen and maintain the current.
The Crowned Constellation RitualGrand Invocation of Orias for Honor, Transformation, and Astrological Alignment
This is a full ceremonial rite to call Orias for status, transformation of aura, and alignment with favorable stars.
Preparatory PhaseOn a Thursday in the hour of Jupiter, cleanse yourself and dress in dignified attire. Not robes, unless they suit you, but clothing that makes you feel elevated, kingly or queenly.
Prepare a small polished mirror to serve as the vessel of transformation.
Temple SetupAltar: Covered in deep blue with gold trim.At center: Orias’s sigil with the mirror upon it.Candles: Blue to the left, purple to the right, gold behind.Incense: Frankincense and myrrh.Offerings: Spiced wine, a star chart of the current sky.Crystal Grid: Four stones: lapis at East, citrine at South, amethyst at West, obsidian at North, forming a cross to channel celestial light.Opening the CircleTake the athame in hand. Walk clockwise, tracing a great arc at each quarter as if drawing a vault of the heavens overhead. Declare:
“By the stars eternal, I seal this circle as the crown of Orias.”
Return to the altar, plant the athame point-down on the sigil, and bow your head briefly.
InvocationLift the mirror high and speak:
“Marquis Orias, rider of the celestial steed, master of constellations,
I call you into this circle.
Grant me dignity and honor,
Transform my form and my aura,
Align me with the virtues of the stars.”
Chant his enn “Lirach mena Orias anay na” while drawing arcs with the athame from the star chart down to the mirror, as if pulling light from the heavens into reflection.
The TransformationStand before the mirror and gaze steadily into your own eyes.
Visualize your reflection shifting: posture straighter, eyes brighter, features refined, aura radiant with a halo of starlight.
With each breath, feel this image solidify until the reflection feels more real than your current self.
Now take the athame and touch its tip to each stone of the crystal grid in turn:
Lapis: “Wisdom of the stars.”Citrine: “Radiance of the Sun.”Amethyst: “Dignity of kings.”Obsidian: “Shield of the night.”See the stones blaze with light, their beams converging on the mirror. Lift the mirror once more and breathe deeply, pulling that converged energy into your aura.
SealingPour a libation of spiced wine, saying:
“Orias, dignifier of form, aligner of destiny, I thank you.
Let this aura remain radiant, let honor follow me,
As the stars wheel above, so may they shine upon me.”
Leave the mirror on the sigil overnight to hold the charge. Carry it or keep it nearby when you wish to project dignity, confidence, and honor.
Note: It can be a regular mirror, but black scrying mirrors are preferable for ritual use.
