You have eyes—can’t you see? You have ears—can’t you hear? Don’t you remember anything at all? Mark 8:18 NLT
Step Into More Faith
In the arena of Promised Land living, you never see what God has given you until you are willing to walk in it first – you have to be able to walk in it before you get it.

“Every place on which the sole of your foot treads shall be yours: from the wilderness and Lebanon, from the river, the River Euphrates, even to the Western Sea, shall be your territory.” Deuteronomy 11:24

When God told Joshua to cross the flooded Jordan River and go into the Promised Land, he did something very different than when the Hebrews left Egypt to cross over into the wilderness. Who can forget about Moses and the crossing of the Red Sea?

But here at the gateway to the Promised Land, a different courage and trust was required as the key. The water didn’t part first like it did when they crossed the Red Sea. This was the Promised Land, and there was a new set of rules: they had to step into the water first. They had to start pursuing the Promised Land before the waters ever parted.

If you want upgrade, if you want blessing and more of Jesus, the way does not present itself until you move toward it. You have to step into it first.

“…and as those who bore the ark came to the Jordan, and the feet of the priests who bore the ark dipped in the edge of the water (for the Jordan overflows all its banks during the whole time of harvest), that the waters which came down from upstream stood still, and rose in a heap very far away at Adam, the city that is beside Zaretan. So the waters that went down into the Sea of the Arabah, the Salt Sea, failed, and were cut off; and the people crossed over opposite Jericho.” Joshua 3:15-16

Jesus-driven thinking helps and heals. This is what the Bible has to say on the subject: For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. – Romans 8:6

The Cherokee nation knew it, too. Check out this spot-on tribal tale:

An old Cherokee chief was teaching his grandson about life. He told the boy, “A terrible fight is going on inside me. It is a fight between two wolves. One wolf is evil. He is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and self-doubt."

The old man continued: “The other wolf is good. He is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith.” He then told the boy, “This same fight is going on inside you and inside every other person, too.”

The grandson thought about it for a minute, then asked his grandfather, “Which wolf will win?” The wise old chief replied, “The one you feed.”

What wolf have you been feeding? Just know the wolf of evil thoughts will eventually devour you, and likely others as well. Thoughts become actions, and there is always collateral damage.

That’s not you! You can control your thought life and ensure the evil wolf starves to death.
et_pb_blurb"}">Step Into More Faith

Grounded in FaithDeclare!God created each one of us in His image. Just like none of us are alike, so His ways to accomplish Kingdom purpose are not alike. I rejoice that God does new things in new ways, bringing forth new life. Today, I line my heart up with the heart of my Savior and take a step to accomplish His purpose. He is so good to me and brings only good into my life.
