Moving Up

You are a supernatural propeller. You cause a wake to follow behind you wherever you go. You’re a kingdom advancer who brings others along with them. Success breeds success. One victory leads to another. That’s why victory must become a lifestyle – aka: momentum.

Brother Webster defines momentum like this:

1 The quantity of motion in a moving body, being always proportioned to the quantity of matter multiplied into the velocity, impetus. 2 An impelling force of strength.

Momentum starts with action. It needs an impetus or impelling force of strength to begin moving forward. That means you have a responsibility to act. You have to be intentional about upgrade.

Know this: progressive people get more progressive. Studious people get more power to learn. Generous people get more power to give, and loving people get more power to love even the worst people. Awesome is the power of momentum!

Whoever has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him. – Matthew 13:12

Never underestimate the power of momentum, especially in your walk with Christ. He hates mediocrity and designed you to chase after upgrade. So many in the church never understand this principle. But that’s not you!

Which Wolf Do You Feed?

Jesus-driven thinking helps and heals. This is what the Bible has to say on the subject: For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. – Romans 8:6

The Cherokee nation knew it, too. Check out this spot-on tribal tale:

An old Cherokee chief was teaching his grandson about life. He told the boy, “A terrible fight is going on inside me. It is a fight between two wolves. One wolf is evil. He is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and self-doubt."

The old man continued: “The other wolf is good. He is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith.” He then told the boy, “This same fight is going on inside you and inside every other person, too.”

The grandson thought about it for a minute, then asked his grandfather, “Which wolf will win?” The wise old chief replied, “The one you feed.”

What wolf have you been feeding? Just know the wolf of evil thoughts will eventually devour you, and likely others as well. Thoughts become actions, and there is always collateral damage.

That’s not you! You can control your thought life and ensure the evil wolf starves to death.
et_pb_blurb"}">Moving Up

When Jesus saved me, He set me free and healed my life. I experienced a tremendous upgrade in my life at that time. I have my heart set on continuing the momentum that began when I was saved. I know there is more in store for me, and I don’t want to miss a thing He has for me. I am intentional about upgrade!
