What Are You Doing? Summer 2025

Hello readers new, old, experienced,
gaining experience,
Today is Wednesday, July 9, 2025.
I hope to post twice monthly over the next several months, with desire to make some new acquaintances and include you among them. Since we are about reading, what or who is your favorite author?
your favorite book(s)?
or periodical?
As for me, "Ellery Queen Mystery Magazine" put out every other month. The stories are of reasonable length. Some in each issue are like a little novella that may be a good hour to read from start to completion.
I also enjoy writing. A sample of several stories of mine are at:
https://spillwords.com/the-chronic-co...
being my most recent story at this site.
Currently, working on producing a short story collection that will be released in four months, Lord willing.
The theme, seeking mental health.
Let's continue our visits together.
I hope to hear from you, and plan to drop by again in late July.
Happy hours,
David C. Russell, Author

David Hello Readers,

August 1, 2025. Is there a mixed blessing within the facts that today is Friday, and U.S. President Trump's imposed international tariffs go into effect today? Time will tell.
I had a minor injury since our last visit of July 9, 2025. I broke my elbow, but the fracture is slowly healing on its own. By September, function should fully be restored, or so I was informed via medical opinion.
I am in the process of revising my forthcoming title, From My Red Chair.
This is a self-anthology of five short stories with mental health as its central theme in each story. I will say more as the process moves along. The editing service, Superior Productions based in Marquette, Michigan, are aiding my creation of this title! We are off to a fairly good relationship and am thankful to this company's President, Tyler Tichelaar, for his expertise.

As for reading, I recently completed the second title in a serise, "Heavenly Dais: Grace in Autumnn" by Lori Copeland. The setting for this title and series is a small fictitious town in the state of Maine. Angels are among the inhabitants and aid the small population where needed. To the citizens, these angels are upstanding humans. Recommend highly!

My next read will be a mystery by Mary Higgins CClark, "Kiss the Girls and Made Them Cry."

Until our next visit in a few weeks, take care, enhance your story, and read a couple good stories.

Happy Hours Ahead,
