It took me a long time to realise that even people who are part of my family don’t sing from the same song sheet as me. I’ve realised that I don’t need them to make my life complete and that I’m not important enough to be part of theirs.

The best people to have in your life are ones who make you laugh, and accept you for who you are.

After many years of working hard and creating a peaceful home life, I don’t need anyone in my life who creates stress and drama, as it destroys my creativity.

Writing and painting have always been my passions and safe spaces, even as a child. I could hide away in my bedroom and draw and read out of everyone’s way.
