The Inspiration Behind Fixed Point

My own difficult experience with toxic academia planted the first seed. Writing Fixed Point gave me a way to explore some very real frustrations through fiction. I’ve always been drawn to stories about changing your fate, so weaving it into the story let me play with the idea of changing your fate, or facing the consequences of trying.
