We had a few bits of sorrow in the past two weeks, which is why you didn't hear from me last weekend.
First, Mayhem, who I'd mentioned in the last newsletter was losing weight because it seemed like a bad tooth was bothering her. The vet diagnoses is stomatitis, which means she's basically become allergic to her own teeth, so she needs them all pulled. For those of you who saw my fundraiser for the surgery and contributed, I can't thank you enough. There are two more freebies in my store, Wrenching Fate, and my short ghost story, My Fairlady, so I hope you grabbed them.
Although I did meet my goal, the fees were a little higher than I expected, so we will be short if the bill is closer to 1900, and we'll also still have to shell out for her medications and the wet food diet all four cats will have to be on for the following week after her surgery (we can't risk her messing up the stitches by going for dry food), you can still donate HERE. About the Audiobook Fund:
Since Kofi only lets me have one fundraiser going at a time, I had to take down the audiobook fund for Bite At First Sight. However, I still have the funds that had been donated thus far and will be taking down Mayhem's fund after her surgery (in case I need to raise the goal and ask for more help with that) and then restoring the audiobook fund goal with the already donated funds still tracked.
On the horror front, I heard from Kandisha Press that PRETEND YOU DON'T SEE HER: An Anthology of Invisible Women will release in the fall. There will be a cover reveal soon! Also waiting to hear back from my agent regarding The Graveyard Girls.
I was also will be participating in a local event where I will be selling signed books, candles, and art! More about that next time.
