About 2,100 members of the California Army National Guard’s 79th Infantry Brigade Combat Team have reported to the greater Los Angeles area, according to a U.S. Northern Command (NORTHCOM) spokesperson.
The 2,100 military members are currently operating in Los Angeles, Paramount and Compton, California.
These military members are in addition to the 700 U.S. Marines President Donald Trump deployed to the city to assist police and the National Guard in restoring peace.
