Sorry. This Dracula actually doesn’t look too bad. But Monsieur Besson, let us not tell lies: “There’s a romantic side in Bram Stoker’s book that hasn’t been explored that much.” The reason why it hasn’t been explored that much is largely because it is not not actually present in the book. Coppola added it for his own glorious mess of a movie, which I simultaneously can and cannot defend*.

Still, it’s been thirty years. I guess it’s time for Lovesick Dracula again.
