Weird Wednesday: Magnetic Movement

Did you know that Earth’s Magnetic poles move?

I learned that as a teenager as I flipped through the World Book Encyclopedia volume N. And then I forgot about it for a while since I wasn’t using my compass for navigation as much.

Now had I been in that same race in 1850, my compass bearings would be slightly different but negligible due to the small distances I would have been racing.

Eventually.

Unless the North and South poles flip which last happened about 1 million years ago.
