DID YOU KNOW? Mike Connors, who starred as Joe Mannix in the popular 1960s TV series Mannix, had several interesting facts about his life and career. One notable trivia point is that he played the same character, Joe Mannix, in three different television series: Mannix, Here’s Lucy, and Diagnosis Murder. He also served in the United States Army Air Force during World War II. His nickname “Touch” came from his college basketball playing days. The show’s initial pilot involved Connors performing many of the stunts himself, which resulted in injuries!
