-Social media's impact: Social media platforms enable everyone in a network to simultaneously produce, distribute, and consume content, radically changing the traditional relationship between media producers and audiences.

-E-commerce evolution: E-commerce platforms now incorporate user-created content, such as amateur reviews, enhancing user engagement and platform value.
Prosumerism, while offering numerous opportunities, also presents several challenges:
-Reliability and Accuracy: User-generated content can be unreliable.
-Identification of Contributors: It can be difficult to identify the source of misinformation, as all that is known about unregistered contributors is their computers’ IP addresses.
-Bias and Self-Interest: There have been instances of individuals editing content to reflect more favorably on themselves or their organizations.
-Content Appropriateness: Ensuring that content is appropriate and does not include illegal material
