LOL Sue! I like that if mom's not happy, nobody's happy rule of thumb. My son saw that sign in a store once and he really took it to heart. :-) So glad you love the Fatal Series, and I think you are one of many who wouldn't kick Nick out of bed for eating crackers. Are you a member of the Fatal Series Reader Group on Facebook? There are a lot of others who love Nick over there. Come join the fun! :-)
I too think that you have to be happy with what you are writing, as you say if you don't love them then how can you expect us to love them. Unfortunately no matter what you write you will never please everyone and there is one person that you really need to please and that is yourself. There are times that an author writes something that I don't like and I am entitled to my own opinion and say that I wasn't happy but that doesn't give me the right to demand that either it or future books are written how I want them to be. I have to accept that it didn't quite hit the mark for me and move on!I haven't read your Gansett Island books yet but I intend to but I love love love your Fatal series and I am gonna steel a line from Sue's post (above) "wouldn't kick him out for eating crackers in bed". I wouldn't kick Nick out either!
Thanks so much Dee! So glad you are enjoying the Fatal Series, and I hear you about Nick, he's a dream to write! L-O-V-E him! :-) Hope you enjoy the McCarthy Series! Book 1, Maid for Love, is free right now on Amazon, Kobo and Apple! :-)

I want more of the past characters, I love that about this series you get the new story with windows into the other characters lives as well, janey and joe are my favorite, with mac and maddie a close second and I also adore tiffany and blaine's story as well, I enjoy hearing about all the characters that make up gansett island and can't wait for the next book.

Second, I love your Fatal series. As a reader I enjoy watching the relationship between my favorite characters develop. Having lost my own mother to a debilitating disease, I totally connect with Sam's relationship with her dad. Regarding Nick - wow! As my aunt would say, I wouldn't kick him out for eating crackers in bed - a strange expression, but I think you get my drift.
