Abandoning all dignity
As I approach my 39th birthday, there are days when I manifest a respectable amount of dignity. Some days I'm even professional without trying too hard. This is not one of those days. Here's why:
*throws dignity and professionalism aside, assumes annoying high-pitched voice with dramatically extended vowels*
I have a puppy! A cute, widdle, cuddly, wiggly, oooooohhh soft and fuzzy puppy! Oooo's my new widdle baby? Yoooouuuuu are! Yooooouuuuuuuuu are!!!!

My new daddy is very happy that I'm here.
My new older sister, however, is NOT happy.

OMG He is SO adorable!!! I have Longhaired Dachshunds and a close friend of mine shows Shiba Inu's we used to see each other at the Raleigh NC shows every spring. They are sooooo sweet!!! Poor sister hopefully she will decide he is ok ... maybe she can pay him off to do her dirty work for her ;) Congrats on your new baby!! Nothing like the pitter patter of wittle paws :)
Oh, my, goodness, what a gorgeous puppy! I've never heard of a Shiba Inu, but he or she certainly takes the prize in cuteness.

Congrats! And happy early birthday! :) We recently got a new puppy too and she is quite the handful. I never realized how similar having a new puppy and having a newborn baby is.

Happy upcoming birthday, Jeaniene! Just remember, after 39 it is no longer birthdays, but anniversaries. 40 means that you are celebrating your 1st anniversary of your 39th birthday....and so on. Lol.

Happy Birthday Jeaniene! For me, 39 was harder than 40 but in the end it really is all in your mind....maybe that is worse :) :).Loki is a cutie. What is it about puppies that make semi-normal, mostly professional women go into banshee mode? I am exactly the same way. Older sister looks like she would say "GO AWAY" if she could! She will get used to her new brother....eventually.

Cuteeee!!! I recently got two puppies myself!!! Two new puppies, my 10 year old dog didn't like that very much...a husky and a stray!!! They are such a joy!!! Good luck with new puppy!!! He/she is beautiful!!! <3

I knew that was a reason I love your books. There is just something about a person that is drawn to shibas. I rescued and provides 'basic training' to them so that they could be adopted out for year.And your new addition to your family is gorgeous along with her big sister.

How adorable. I love puppies, but not the puppy stage so much. I have 4 Pomeranians that I love to death.
