Short One
Says it on the tin. Pretty light week as far as writing stuff goes. Kept tossing the storyboard for story seven around in my head because I'm incapable of not doing that. I'll be getting the draft started either today or tomorrow. While I'm a bit apprehensive about revving the engine back up, I always seem to feel that way right before starting a new story. Just a bit of jitters I get to deal with every time. Like if I don't write that first page perfectly on the first try then I'm gonna beaten or something equally dreadful. Goes away once I'm started, though it really just morphs into worrying about the story being too short, which inevitably (and somewhat more founded) turns to me worrying the story is too long. Lovely cycle, that.
Ran through the manuscript for Spellseeker that was handed back my way. Did the good ol' side-by-side comparison. Caught some mistakes that were left in, as well. Made me realize the publisher likely just hit "Accept All" on my changes and didn't bother to read anything. Not surprised. Given that I'm essentially out of fucks to give on this matter, I'm not even particularly disappointed. Just sent the new comments back and eagerly awaiting their reply. Hopefully this'll be the last time I need to dig into Spellseeker again. Fingers crossed.
Toodles.
