A Summer's Day

We lay in bed tracing our hands and faces kissing in between breaths. Our voices were a whisper afraid to stir the world around us. Hunger over came us and we ventured to the kitchen. Never letting go of each other for long, we made an assorted breakfast of pastries and cheese and fruit. We kissed and laughed and ate on the floor as the sun shone through the curtains. When we were full we put on clothes and went about the day. You cleaned up and I hung the laundry, exchanging longing glances...
