The forest was for those who dared to live in both worlds. No one knew who they were and saw them move around in the diminishing light. Yet, there were legends about their skin that didn’t burn from the sun and the bra...

Raymond Elmo I hate wordpress; it never lets me log in, insists I have to make a new password. Drives me mad. Here is the comment I would have left on your excellent bit of writing:

Makes me think of the ’80’s movie ‘Lady Hawk’ where two lovers are cursed by a jealous priest. The man turned into a wolf by night; the lady turns into a hawk by day. Only at the moment of sunrise and sunset are they both human; just for the one moment between light and dark.

Very impressive, K.A. the challenge you give yourself of these writing prompts!

WordPress is like that. It insists on funny things to make our lives miserable.

Very canny reference. The same songwriter who wrote the original song also wrote a song about two birds that are in love and can never meet. There's an owl and a cuckoo.

Thank you! Some days I feel like I shouldn't have started this journey, but on other days, it feels like a good choice.
