New book: Intimate Metamorphosis!
It’s a big day!

After five years, I’m excited to announce the release of my newest book, Intimate Metamorphosis! This collection of poems tells a story of the first year of motherhood. Becoming a mother is often talked about in extremes–either perfect or horrible–when in fact, it is so much more complex. I tried to express the paradoxes of the experience while living it, quietly voice-typing the first drafts of these poems into my phone while up with my newborn in the middle of the night. While not a “fuzzy” book, it is an honest account of the transformative experience of becoming a mother.
As a bonus, one of the poems from the book was included in the most recent issue of Pensive Journal! Check out the poem, “Dreaming,” on page 41.
If you order right away, the paperback arrives in time for Mother’s Day! This would make a great gift for the new, expectant, or veteran mom in your life.
I’d appreciate your help getting the word out! Every like, share, and mention helps. And if you have a website, podcast, classroom, book club, or other venue, I’m always happy to parachute in and discuss!
Happy reading
