Juggling
Hi all,
I’ve put off starting a blog here for some time due to lack of time. Things have reached a point where there simply aren’t enough hours in the day for everything as it is. Still, I’m starting this blog and will try to add to it once in a while.
One question I get asked quite often is - “What are you working on now?” Several things, hence the title of this blog. Here’s a brief rundown on my current projects and happenings:
- I’m working on the third Wendy Markland novel.
- I’m working on a horror/action-adventure/romance trilogy ( I have Books 1 & 2 outlined and am working on the outline for Book 3 ).
- I’m working on a science fiction trilogy ( I’m still in the beginning stages on that, still putting ideas together ).
- I’m waiting to hear back from a producer on the third draft of a movie script that we hope ( fingers crossed, please! ) will end up becoming a SyFy Channel Original film.
- Actress/film producer/model Karita Flemming is in the process of turning my fourth novel, the first Wendy Markland novel, “Predators or Prey?”, into a film.
- I’m working with a third producer on what will be a TV series. I can’t discuss that one yet due to a nondisclosure agreement.
- A NYC-based actor is reading the 2-hour movie/back door pilot script and series bible for a different TV series concept I’ve created.
- A different actor is reading a medieval action/romance script I’ve written.
- Very recently, a short film I sold to Douglas Little, of Pig in a Python Pictures, was filmed. I’m currently waiting on a DVD copy and have yet to see the final, finished project.
- My publisher, Dark Castle Lords Publications, has picked up my first three novels, which were self-published. The DCL-published version of “Winter’s Rite” was released on December 12, 2009. The DCL-published versions of “Well Wishes” and “Gauntlet” should be following soon.
- Dark Castle Lords Publications is planning to release a printed version of “Predators or Prey?” ( currently only available in e-book format - http://www.thedarkcastlelords.com/pre... ) early in 2010.
- I’ve co-created a dark fantasy comic book series for mature audiences and we’re seeking a publisher for it.
- I’m looking for a new agent to replace the one I had, since he shut down his literary division.
- I’m looking for a good publicist.
