Rimig's Reading/Watching List: May 2025

...y'all, I'm autistic. I wasn't diagnosed until recently, but it's been a part of me for all of my life.

And I am PROUD of this aspect of myself!

Because of it, I'm a creator and a thinker. And I'm a tax-paying, job-holding contributor to society who's written a poem or two, and I'm more than capable of playing baseball.

I don't think like other people. And given all of the stupid stuff by other people that I've come across on social medias and other websites, I'm happy with that. Sure, my differences are hard to deal with at times, but it's worth it to live my life and give to God's world in my own unique way.

There's nothing wrong with me. And to all the autistic people reading this: you're beautiful just the way you are.

What I'm Reading!

We Are Not Free by Traci Chee: After President Roosevelt's order for all Japanese Americans to be put in concentration camps, fourteen teens from Japantown, San Fransisco must rally together against a world that hates them because of their race and ancestry.

Dear Evan Hansen by Val Emmich: Mark Evan Hansen, a teen with Social Anxiety Disorder, is through a misunderstanding brought into the lives of a grieving family and given a chance to get something he's always wanted: belonging.

In the middle of four books right now! I'm still reading The Hobbit, while I hit a reading slump in the middle of Sunrise on the Reaping. Hopefully, I'll get at least three of my current books done this month!

What I'm Watching!

Nothin'!

Well...nothing new. I'm still watching The Middle with my grandparents (It's HILARIOUS!) and I occasionally rewatch an episode of The Good Place, which has become one of my favorite shows!

What I'm Playing!

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD: In order to save his friends, Link, an older teenager, sets off into the Twilight Realm, a weird, dark dimension that seems to be overtaking the world, finding a companion to aid him, Midna.

I checked this game out from my local library and brought my Wii U to where I currently live. I own the original Gamecube version, but I've never finished it, and hope to do so in the new version. I don't think I'll reach the end of it before I have to return it, though...

Anyway, thanks for reading! And to all my people on the spectrum: you're different, not less!
