SUMMINATION: Based on webcomic "Yakhanyoungwoong” written by Seo Pae-Seu & illustrated by Kim Jin-Seok. After transferring to Eunjang High School, Yeon Si Eun still carries the scars of his previous survival at his old High School. Determined to move on and keep to himself, he meets a new group of kids, ones dealing with familiar pains. Will they squad up and battle against obstacles or be each other's pain? 

MUSING: We are BACK with Weak Hero: Class 2, aka Season Two, where the vibe has changed but the arse kicking is still the same!!!! I have to say that, I was SUPER excited to return to this world. Season one (which I reviewed here) was *chef's kiss* and now we are on to a new phase of the story. This change felt jarring at first, but I understood it. It was much needed for our fave ML character, and honestly, for those of us who were deep into the battle royal drama of this world. Si Eun is dealing with heavy PTSD, depression, and guilt. This is understandable. 

When Si Eun is dropped into a new school that is honestly, normal as hell (and like a fresh breath of air for me as a viewer, but also an anxious one), he can't compartmentalize it (I frankly couldn't either, I was on edge). You see it expertly displayed in overt ways with his body language. But when a shift changes in the school introducing what we 'norms' would call 'normal' bullying, everything changes for Si Eun and the school body itself. The changes and introduction of new characters were great and a refreshing change. The vibe was a beat slow, but not annoyingly so, or damaging to the story. We still get our video game meet the boss level experience, and I loved that. However, as you watch on, you will understand why I call this season a soft-switch, for the reintroduction of a heavy that we might be getting...when these kids officially become adults next season, if we get one, and I hope that we do. Keep watch for the end credits! 

NOTES: 

I enjoyed seeing the mention and utilization of therapy in the story. I also enjoyed the 'discussion/display' of the absolute carelessness, cluelessness, helplessness, and/or disregard of the adults in this world.Loved the importance of friendship as healing.
