Something For My Christmas Stocking

Very nice to receive today, a cutting from The Mail on Sunday (December 6th) in which Simon Shaw, in his paperback reviews, says:

"Most promising newcomer this year was Aly Monroe, whose debut wartime thriller, The Maze of Cadiz is an atmospheric tour de force."

Happy Christmas to all.

Mark And Happy Christmas to you, Aly. It has been fun to make your cyber-acquaintance in 2009. The release of your exciting new historic thriller series in the US is inevitable, and I will be the first in line. Best of wishes to you and Peter Cotton in '10. Mark

Mark Great and many thanks. FYI, there is an entertaining travel piece about Edinburgh in the November issue of the BBC's "Lonely Planet" magazine by Ian Rankin, and I'd recommend it if that great bookstore you have been promoting carries last month's issue. Sounds like a terrific place. Mark (14 inches of snow in Richmond last week; so it's white here as well.)
