THE ANGELS WOULD LOVE MORE MEN TO ACKNOWLEDGE THEM AND ASK THEM FOR HELP

The angels would love more men to pay attention to them and to become aware that they too have a guardian angel.
So many of the men I come across think that angels are silly or frivolous. This is partially a reflection of what modern society has done to angels. Angels are enormously powerful creatures who, throughout history, have been feared, revered and have done massive things. Some people, however, have tried to trivialise angels and turn them into cuddly good luck charms who can deliver parking spaces. I am shocked at times when people mix up angels and fairies.
Men are more inclined than women to want to do things on their own. They want to claim any success as their own and, in general, would prefer not to acknowledge that God or his angels had any hand, act or part in their success. However, I know that if only more men would step down from their high horses a little and ask the angels for help, their lives would be so much easier. They would look at life in a more positive, hopeful way and the world would be a better place. Men would be stronger more able to help themselves and more able to help both those they love and those who are weaker than them.
A lovely mother and her three children came to a book signing a few years ago. The mother told me that her husband had driven them into town but that he had refused to come to see me. She said that her and her children were getting tremendous help and comfort from knowing they had a guardian angel but that she had been unable, as of yet, to persuade her husband to read ‘Angels in my Hair’. An hour or so later, I was still signing, and out of the corner of my eye I saw the family, this time with the father. He looked as if he had been dragged there. I had to smile because he was encircled by big tall white angels, and it looked as though they too were making sure he didn’t get away. I called the family over and the woman asked me would I bless her husband. I did. He left not one bit impressed with me or his wife! A year later I was thrilled when, at another signing, the angels pointed him out to me. He was waiting, of his own free will, in the queue with his wife. He When we talked he told me he had read Angels in my Hair after all. thanked me and told me that his life had changed so much for the better. He said he was a better husband and father now. Knowing that he had a guardian angel with him at all times had made his life so much less stressful.
At a recent speaking event in Switzerland, the angels brought my attention to a man in his forties sitting, about half way back, in the audience. The angels told me that he wasn’t there because he believed in angels; he was there because he was so angry at me. I was interfering in his life, even though I didn’t know it. He and his girlfriend had fought over her belief in angels. He had ridiculed her and her belief and she had stormed out. The angels told me that he was there on his own, without her knowledge (she wasn’t there). He wanted to prove me to be a fraud and to rubbish both his girlfriend’s and my belief in angels. . Over the hour and a half of the interview, the angels with him would occasionally light him up so I could see him more clearly. They told me that he had an excellent job but that, at times, he was really unfair to the people who worked for him bullying them and not acknowledging or praising them when they did a good job. As we moved into questions from the audience, one of the angels with him gave me a big smile and said “He’s mellowing!”
When it came to the blessing I couldn’t see him and I didn’t think it was likely that he would come for a blessing. I was in for a surprise though because, towards the end of the queue, I saw him. He spoke to me in a low voice saying “I was really cynical coming in here but what you’ve said has made me look at myself for the first time and I don’t really like what I see.” I smiled at him as time didn’t allow for much conversation. I then started to bless him and he said “I don’t deserve a blessing.” I smiled again and replied “I’m blessing you anyway”. I have no idea how he is getting on but I hope he is still considering the possibility that angels are real and that he has a guardian angel that can help him, if only he’ll let it. If he does, he will find that his life gets easier.
I have also been writing about men – and business people in general in my blog in the Huffington Post this week. You can read it here http://buff.ly/M8UuS1
I would ask women reading this newsletter to help the men in their lives recognise that they have a guardian angel and not to keep the door to this possibility closed.
I would say to the men reading this, well done. When appropriate, let others know that you believe in angels and tell them if you’ve experienced the angels helping you in your life.
Blessings to you all
Lorna
P’s in my last newsletter (14th April) I told you I was really excited about an interfaith event I was doing in New York on 1st May. I was invited by the ASMA to be interviewed by Imam Feisal, a leading Muslim (whose new book Moving The Mountain is generating a lot of important debate on Islam in America http://buff.ly/L9qsxo ) in an Episcopalian church with a reply by African American Baptist Rev Jim Forbes. The evening was everything I hoped it would be and more. I am planning to write about what I saw that evening but in the meantime you can have a look at a video of part of the event here. http://buff.ly/L9q7eh
