life updates:

my darling, miles walser, graduated from college, moved to brooklyn, and snagged himself a write bloody book deal. thank you for reposting his glorious video. you can congratulate him here.
i travelled to ohio to compete at the rustbelt regional poetry slam on a team with emily rose, rachel mckibbens, and marty mcconnel. we really didn’t keep score for the entire event and were shocked to find ourselves on final stage. myself & emily also made “indie finals” - where the top 8 highest scoring competitors compete for a title as well. i came in third and she in second, making us the poets in the competition who read more poems than anyone else, because we kept advancing in every round. videos to come.
my book release party was a tremendous success. videos and photographs will be posted super soon. if you were there, thank you so much. if you could review the book for me on amazon, i’ll write you a poem. it’s really important for us write bloody authors to get good ratings there.
i’m tour planning. in september i’ll be in new jersey, pennsylvania, ohio, michigan, chicago, minnesota and wisconsin. if you have a show you want to book me for (or even just have friends and want to do an awesome poetry show in your house or apartment!) let’s book it - i’d love to do art with you. 
i cut off all my hair. i’ve had long hair for most of my life. this is the shortest it’s been since babyhood. i’ve used it as a security blanket for so long. i thought i couldn’t have short hair unless i was superthin. i thought i needed long hair to be pretty. fuck that. gone. 
my life is about to take off in a big way. i’m just going with it. whose coming with me?
