Thinking About You

This song is something of an experiment in color change. I see the opening vocals and synths as flowery, watercolor brush strokes of pinks and purples and blues. Then they fade as the paint runs thin and I bring in a heavy red base with a rippling, rough edged distortion. The bass rises into a little hillock and then slopes down and away, leaving the silvery drums. For me, as the synths fade leaving only the drums, I start to fill in the silence with notes that are never written.
