Exciting News: Reborn In Shadows Has Been Submitted for Two Prestigious Indie Book Awards!

I’m beyond thrilled to share some incredible news—my debut novel, Reborn In Shadows: From the Ashes, has officially been submitted for both the Independent Publisher Book Awards (IPPY Awards) and the Next Generation Indie Book Awards!

These awards celebrate excellence in independent publishing, recognizing authors who bring fresh, diverse perspectives to the literary world. As an indie author and founder of One-Legged Woman Publishing, this moment is a major milestone in my journey, and I couldn’t be more excited.

Why This Matters

Submitting Reborn In Shadows to these highly respected competitions isn’t just about recognition—it’s about showcasing a story that deserves to be told. This novel isn’t just another thriller; it’s a deeply personal tale of resilience, survival, and identity.

With a sharp-witted, chain-smoking transgender protagonist navigating a world of danger, reinvention, and unexpected romance, Reborn In Shadows offers something rarely seen in mainstream fiction—authentic trans and sapphic representation in a gripping, suspenseful narrative.

A Book That’s Already Making Waves

Beyond these award submissions, I’m honored that Reborn In Shadows has also been selected for inclusion in the Library of Congress, ensuring its place in the literary record. To see my book recognized as a work of cultural and historical significance is something I never imagined possible, and it makes this moment even more meaningful.

What’s Next?

Finalists and winners for both awards will be announced later this year, and while I have no idea what the outcome will be, I’m incredibly proud of how far this book has come. Win or not, I’ll continue to push forward, connect with readers, and share Reborn In Shadows with the world.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me—from early readers to fellow authors, to those who have cheered me on from the sidelines. This is just the beginning!
