The Invisible Gardener

Erbert washes funny plants,
with funny names
that grow so very short;

they give way
to funny feet
that walk upon the soil.

late at night,
they dream some dreams
that make no sense at all;

so foolishly,
they seem to think
that they’ll grow very tall.
