Bank churning is where you open new bank accounts continuously and take the rewards that those banks are offering for people that open new accounts.
This is completely legal, completely free, and can be done from the comfort of your own home.
There’s usually a minimum amount you’ll need to deposit to get the reward, can be anything from a few $100 to a few $1000 
And you have to be careful to keep track of everything and read the fine print.
Mainly doable in the USA 
but in theory you could do it anywhere banks offer sign-up bonuses.
