Source agnosticism

Instead of verifying or trusting sources, forget about where you’re hearing what you’re hearing and ask instead:

“Does what I’m hearing make sense with the last thing I heard?”

And then do that every time you hear something.

Do you do that? How often? Every time?

If you do keep this up, you are practicing the art of non-contradiction.

But non-contradiction is not what anybody wants, because it requires the constant act of thinking.

Our society is hellbent on verifying ‘truth’ through sources. Ever wonder why this might be, beyond conventional wisdom?

Could it be that there’s another motive? Isn’t History written by the victors? And what picture does this paint? Does my body of knowledge make sense within itself? What does and what doesn’t? What is outside of it? Why? And what picture does this paint?

Society doesn’t want you to think, that’s why trusting authority is touted as paramount to what they the authority wants you to think is true.

The truth is, even the most vetted ‘scientific’ studies can be rigged, slanted and keyholed unless cross-compared with many different factors and domains.
