Mike Burke ✍ The Good Friday Agreement and NorthernIreland Act 1998 require that the Secretary of State call a border poll “if atany time it appears likely to him” that a majority of voters would support aunited Ireland.  Many political actors and commentators, including me, have publicly urged the Secretary to clarify the criteria for ordering a poll by specifying the evidence
