February 13, 2025: Fun With Science

As fans of sci fi, we often wonder when we'll see technologies in real life that we enjoy in our games and stories. So far, we've gotten handheld computers that would give the protagonists of 1970s novels a serious case of jealousy, little robots that vacuum our homes, and frequent new updates on when our cars will drive themselves. But what about weapons? When will you be able to blast your foes with bolts of plasma? We're not quite there, but someone is working on it.
