Selling Books While the World Burns

I don’t have it in me to argue on the internet about why you should care about equal rights, environmental protection, keeping good relationships with our lovely neighbors (Canada, I adore you!), or the goddamn Constitution of the United States of America.
That’s not my job. Not under this name, at least.
No, Meredith Hart’s job is giving you a way out.
Stay focused, my friends. Stay aware of what’s going on, call your representatives, strengthen your community.
And then rest.
Take what actions you can in this beautiful, broken world… and also give yourself permission to kick back with a good book and enter a world where magic is real and love solves everything.
Fantasy is escapist, and as Tolkien says, that is its glory. When you are imprisoned, isn’t it your duty to escape?
So I’m going to keep talking about books and fantasy romance, even when it feels like the world is burning.
And I want you to keep escaping.
