What are the bright thoughts that I took with me from Oman?

As I statedbefore, I concluded that nothing is fully good or bad.

So, hereis the other part of Oman, the bright one!

Omanicoconuts and coconut products are exquisite. So is the frankincense.

Theregion that supplies them is centred around Salalah. The coconut oil I boughtin Oman is delicious; I love cooking with it.

How canyou tell the quality of frankincense? The lighter in colour it is, the higherthe quality.

Nizwais a must. So are the juices all over Oman.

We onlywent there on our last day in Oman, but were thankful we did! I’d start with Nizwa! It hosts intriguing museums, interesting stores selling local products, and lovelyrestaurants (with history and views).

P.S.Whenever you find fresh juices, try them. My favourites were guava (in Sur andMuscat) and mango (in Nizwa).

Ifyou like turtles, Dimaniyat Islands is the place to go!

Asidefrom paradisiac beaches, I’ve never seen so many turtles in one spot! And I’venever seen so many turtles grazing. It was one of those wonderful experiencesthat you remember your whole life! We were pretty unfortunate regarding theweather (the storm in the open sea turned our trip upside-down); in the end, itwas worth the wait.

Thisbeach did wow us!

RasAl-Jinz is different from all the beaches we saw in Oman. It is wild yet cosy.We could walk there forever. We didn’t see any turtles, but we saw dromedaries onthe way to the beach!

Suris a nice stop, especially when you’re into sailing.

Theexpats were amazing to us! We also loved the culinary trip!

Wetried many different cuisines! Some were new to us, but we got to experience theculture of those countries through their people. We even received gifts, help, suggestions, and friendship!

The Socca World Cup was a feast!

Weenjoyed it to the full! Friendship was our ‘key takeaway’. We laughed a lot, went to watch the games, and became familiar with the behind-the-scenes details. Our trip to Oman wouldn’t have been the same without the tournament and thepeople connected to it.

Specialmention: We met tens of cute cats and dogs (but more cats, on the whole).

Be kindto them; feed them, caress them, and talk to them. Each smile means a lot. ♥
