I've occasionally mentioned my longtime friend Dan Gheno on the blog. I've known Dan a lonnnnng time and have been delighted to watch him become one of the most respected painter of portraits in the field today. I'm also amazed that his career survived the days when he would pencil covers for fanzines and I would ink them. Here's a recent interview with my pal.
