I’m a morning person and can be found in my office at 5 AM just about every morning. This is my creative writing time. I work on new stories, blog posts, essays—what I call “my work” versus client projects.

By 9 AM, I’ve shifted into client mode, working on paid assignments that keep my bank account in the black.

Other writers I know are night owls. They are at their most creative when the stars are out and can easily work until the wee hours of the morning.
