A New Year Begins …
Goodness where did Christmas and New Year go? We seem to spend ages preparing (I saw Christmas things in the shops even in August) and then the holiday is over in an instant. I do hope that you had a happy and peaceful time.

Christmas was lovely this year as my youngest son, who left home for a job in another part of the country in 2024, came back to stay for the holiday and my eldest, with his partner and our grandson came for Christmas lunch. My sister visited with one of her sons in the afternoon too, so it was a nice family time.

Come boxing day, we clear the table and start a jigsaw, and we generally have different jigsaws on the go until we clear the table for the next Christmas. We didn’t do much walking this year as the weather wasn’t particularly good and I am recovering from a foot injury, but we managed to get out and about on most days.

The Christmas trees came down over the weekend and the house looks very bare and less sparkly. I don’t really make new year’s resolutions these days, but I am taking part in a writing challenge during January and February, run by a group I’m a member of. I’m not going to say too much about that right now in case I jinx myself, but it’s going well so far. Wish me luck …
Here’s hoping that 2025 will be kind to us all.
