A YouTuber named Jongho recently reported on his progress with Betterment…

He describes Betterment as…

a robo-advisor platform that basically invests money for you in return for a small management fee. It uses algorithms to consider your personal factors like age, risk tolerance, and creates a tailored Investment portfolio for you

Jongho started investing with Betterment in 2016.

His results 8 years later, when he made the above video…

$64,525 invested$28,160 earned

But Jongho notes that the graph doesn’t always go smoothly up and to the right…

You might have less money than you put in at different times. Case in point, for me at least, was March 2020… I had invested $35,000 for the last 3.5 years and then boom I’m down $6455.

Despite that, and given Jongho’s results overall, it’s definitely worth considering using a robo-advisor like Betterment if you want to be hands-off with your investments.
